Capital of Life gathers to shape the next phase of collaboration
Collaboration was the key message when representatives from academia, industry, healthcare and the public sector gathered to discuss the next steps for Capital of Life, the Stockholm–Uppsala region’s life science cluster.
The meeting followed the adoption of the new Life Science Strategy for the Stockholm–Uppsala region and focused on how to turn the strategy’s ambitions into concrete action. Participants agreed that success will depend on shared commitment and close collaboration across the ecosystem.
Discussions centred on strengthening the region’s international competitiveness, attracting talent and investment, creating better conditions for research and innovation, and accelerating the translation of new knowledge into benefits for patients and society.
Another recurring theme was the importance of telling the region’s story more effectively. Stockholm–Uppsala is home to world-leading research, advanced healthcare and innovative companies. Together, we must do more to showcase these strengths internationally.
The meeting demonstrated a strong commitment to the shared vision of making Stockholm–Uppsala one of the world’s leading life science clusters.
