Region Stockholm

Region Stockholm is central to Capital of Life in its role of driving proactive efforts to strengthen the cluster and bringing together the actors involved. Besides all the healthcare, training and life science research conducted in our hospitals, we also work actively on life science questions by implementing our Life Sciences Strategy and the related action plans.

Region Stockholm has a programme office for life science and smart specialisation to spearhead this work. Its role is to work with the system’s actors to follow up, support and drive the work of implementing strategies and action plans, serving as an interface between academia, healthcare and industry, and identifying and eradicating bottlenecks in the system.

Today, Region Stockholm has action plans on clinical trials, health data, precision medicine and matching between companies and Region Stockholm’s operations and institutions.
