Stockholm University’s (SU) contribution to Capital of Life lies in its strong research and education in life science. SU conducts world-leading research in areas including structural biology and palaeogenetics, with some of our life science activities based at the SciLifeLab, Campus Solna.
SU conducts teaching in cell and molecular biology, biochemistry, bioinformatics, neurochemistry, microbiology, biodiversity, ecology, evolutionary genomics, environmental science and biogeoscience, and many SU graduates go on to work in biotech companies or in healthcare.
In working with life science, we promote strong pure research and technology development, and offer a broad education that is relevant to the subject.
