
Uppsala County Administrative Board
Uppsala County Administrative Board supports sustainable regional growth by strengthening collaboration, infrastructure and long-term development within the life science sector.
Uppsala County Administrative Board has an interest in seeing the region’s outstanding life science sector continue to expand and grow stronger. From a growth perspective, the sector benefits industry, creating innovation, new companies and more jobs, while boosting prosperity, territorial attractiveness and competitiveness. Increasing the number of homes and expanding infrastructure are important development areas to ensure continued skills provision and business growth. The region boasts a unique concentration of life science companies, as well as close links to Uppsala University and the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU).
The role of the County Administrative Board is to promote collaboration between the public sector, the private sector and academia; joining forces to achieve the goal of sustainable regional development. The County Administrative Board facilitates the exchange of information and experiences, and engages in dialogue with actors valuable to the life science cluster in different forums, networks and other contexts at various administrative levels.
The County Governor is also the chair of STUNS. Additionally, the County Administrative Board is able to bring in and coordinate actors that are not currently involved in STUNS and the life science cluster.
